Mark and I went to a new Mexican restaurant called Chimichanga Bistro on Friday.

The restaurant was only 6 days old, still smelled a bit like paint, had no liquor license and had very bare wall. Ah well - they just opened.

The host was very nice, the waitress too...but the service was very off.

We were asked if we wanted the free salsa and chips. We said yes, but they arrived about 2 minutes before our meal. Ok, their timing is off. The presentation and look of the salsa was very sloppy. It didn't look appetizing, a very poor first glance of what was to come.

Our meals arrived on steaming hot plates, but the food itself...was merely warm. 2 minutes into it, my 'fancy' burrito was cold. The burrito itself was nothing special. Actually, there was something very strange about it. 10 minutes into the meal, I realized what it was. It was extremely salty. I had guzzled down my water and ginger ale.

I only made it through half of the burrito. I left the other half.

The whole experience was off...too off...so off I would never return (just because they JUST opened is not enough of an excuse).
